Murphy Cabinet Bed Questions
What is a Murphy cabinet bed?
A Murphy cabinet bed is a bed that folds away into a piece of furniture. Closed, it looks like a cabinet, armoire or TV stand; opened, it becomes a comfortable queen-size bed with a built-in tri-fold mattress. Unlike a traditional wall bed, it does not need to be built into or anchored to a wall.
How much space does a cabinet bed need?
Closed, our Daisy cabinet bed takes up only about 10 square feet of floor space, and it opens into a full queen-size bed in less than a minute.
Does a cabinet bed need to be attached to the wall?
No. Our Clover cabinet bed, for example, is a freestanding frame that does not need to be anchored to the wall, so you can place it anywhere and move it easily.
Will regular sheets fit a cabinet bed mattress?
Yes. The queen models use a standard queen-size mattress, so any queen sheets fit. The Express also comes in Twin and Full sizes.
